Terms of service, privacy policy, refund and cancellation rules. Last updated 2026-04-25.

1. Operator

NoticeMeAI (“the service”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Louis Vicomte as an individual service provider. The service is reachable at noticemeai.com.

To get in touch (legal questions, GDPR requests, billing, account deletion), use our contact page. We answer at the email shown there.

2. The service

NoticeMeAI is a website audit tool that scores how well a public website is discoverable, parseable and citable by AI search engines and agents (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and similar).

Reports are produced by static HTTP fetches of the URL you submit and, on paid scans, by analysis from a large language model. We do not browse, log into, or modify the websites you scan. You must own the website you scan or be authorized to scan it.

The service is provided “as is”. Scores and recommendations are heuristics and do not guarantee any specific outcome with any AI search engine.

3. Accounts and sign-in

An account is required to run a scan. Sign-in uses Google or GitHub OAuth. We receive only the basic profile fields needed to identify your account: your email address and, where the provider returns it, your display name and avatar URL. We never receive your OAuth password.

You are responsible for keeping access to the OAuth account you signed in with. Sessions expire automatically after 30 days of inactivity.

4. Subscriptions and pricing

The free tier is available without payment, capped at a small number of scans per day. Paid tiers are billed as recurring subscriptions:

  • Starter — $29 / month or $290 / year
  • Pro — $79 / month or $790 / year

Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes where applicable. Taxes are calculated and collected by Stripe at checkout based on your billing location. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer ID and your subscription status so we can grant access to the paid features.

5. 14-day right of withdrawal

If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have the right under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (and its UK equivalent) to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days from the day the contract was concluded (the day you first subscribed), without giving any reason and at no cost.

Because NoticeMeAI is a digital service, you waive that right for any portion of the service you have already used during the 14-day period. In practice: if you ran one or more paid scans within the 14 days, the refund covers only the unused part of your first billing period, calculated pro rata.

To exercise this right, send us an email through the contact page stating that you withdraw from your subscription and the email address you signed in with. We process the refund through Stripe to the original payment method, normally within 14 days.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account page, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal. After cancellation, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops back to the free tier.

Outside the 14-day window described above, payments for the current billing period are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will look into it.

7. Account deletion

You can ask for your account to be fully deleted at any time by contacting us through the contact page. We delete your user record, OAuth identity, scan attempt history and Stripe customer association, normally within 30 days. Active subscriptions are cancelled as part of deletion. Some records may be retained where law requires it (for example, accounting records kept by Stripe for tax purposes).

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Scan websites you do not own or are not authorized to scan in a way that violates their terms or any applicable law.
  • Attempt to overwhelm, probe, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what an honest user would do.
  • Resell or repackage scan reports as your own product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service. Where we terminate without cause, we refund the unused portion of the current billing period.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost data, lost revenue, or loss of search rankings tied to actions you took based on a scan report. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under EU consumer law.

10. Privacy

We try hard to collect as little personal data as possible. The data we hold about you, what we do with it, and the legal basis:

  • OAuth identity (email, display name, avatar URL, provider account ID): used to identify your account and let you sign in. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Subscription state (plan, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, scan-credit usage counters): used to grant access to paid features and enforce quotas. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Scan attempt metadata (which user ran a scan, at what time, against which URL, success/fail): used for rate limiting, fraud prevention, and to refund failed paid scans. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Scan reports: stored only in Redis with a 24 hour TTL, then deleted. They are scoped to the user that ran the scan and are not shared. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising tags, fingerprinting, or tracking cookies. We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.

Server logs (IP address, request path, status code, timestamp) are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and abuse prevention, then rotated out.

11. Cookies

We only set cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site:

  • A session cookie set by Better Auth after you sign in, so we know which account is making each request. It expires after 30 days.
  • A short-lived OAuth state cookie used during the sign-in flow.

No advertising, analytics, or fingerprinting cookies are set, so no consent banner is required.

12. Sub-processors

To run the service we share the minimum data necessary with these processors:

  • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — application, database and Redis hosting. Data is processed in EU data centres.
  • Stripe Payments Europe (Ireland / United States) — payment processing, taxes, billing portal. Card data goes straight to Stripe and never reaches us.
  • Google LLC — Google OAuth sign-in (only if you choose Google to sign in).
  • GitHub, Inc. — GitHub OAuth sign-in (only if you choose GitHub to sign in).
  • OpenAI, L.L.C. — generates the AI portion of paid scan reports. We send the URL you scanned and the public page content fetched from it. We do not send your email, subscription details, or other account data.

Where a processor is in the United States, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

13. Your GDPR rights

If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these, write to us via the contact page. We answer within 30 days.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you normally live. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are submitted to the competent courts.

15. Changes to this page

We may update this page when the service or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes that affect your subscription will also be notified by email to the address on your account.
